Hi Michael, As you quite rightly point out, people who live on their own should be a lot more vigilant, but saying that, we all should. It is a simple matter to upgrade your security precautions, we do not only sell stun guns & pepper spray, we also have door & window alarms, security cams, & other safety devices in our 'store' Whilst some of these items are not cheap, they can help your home insurance premiums & most certainly are a lot cheaper than re-furnishing your homes.

Leanne, Thank you for more good, simple precautions to make your 'castle' more secure. We have just, in fact had our front yard landscaped to 'desert' landscaping, getting rid of all the bushes & other 'hiding' places. If anyone tries to hide amongst the spiky shrubs now, then good luck to them. Of course that might seem to be going to the extreme, but it will not only make our home safer, & give better views for our security cams, but living in the desert (Las Vegas) as we do, it is actually water conservative & a cheaper way to have a 'nice' front yard.
