Your Assistance is needed by Bogdan-
When Monika Woods replied she changed the subject line while still replying to the initial thread...which anyone can do when they post a message just as I have done in the subject line for this message.
For the record Kathy Martin's original message (forum starter) quoted Bogdan's original message (sent out to all adland members) which follows and is "quoted" and in bold:
"I keep watching the news everyday and can't stop being amazed at how the greatest military power in the world can't cope in the organized manner with disaster in their own backyard.
I think I don't need to mention what is the name of this place. Just in case, I'm talking about New Orleans.
Tens of thousands of people displaced, dead decomposing on the streets, pets sitting on the roofs in the hope that someone will pass them some food or water.
Is this really USA?
It is not that I know how to solve all this problems, but I think that there are people whose job is to anticipate this kind of situations and prepare for this.
That there are people whose job is to coordinate rescue efforts and move tasks force in the place of disasters within hours.
It happens that one of our community friends' sister was caught in the middle of this.
She is devastated, traumatized but alive.

Agnes Mautisa contacted me about her sisters Sarah's situation, and asked if there is anything I could do to help rebuild her sisters' life so she can start it again.
Sarah is penniless, jobless and has no belongings.
After talking to my family, my oldest daughter Antosia (just turned 17 yesterday) suggested why not ask other community members if they could offer a job or they know about position suitable for Sarah.
Sarah has a master's degree in software management. Just before she moved to New Orleans last month, Sarah was working as LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse). She had moved to New Orleans to pursue further studies in public health.
Sarah stays now with Agnes in Silver Spring, Maryland.
If you are reading this letter and can offer a job to Sarah or know anyone who can offer her a suitable position, please contact her at the following phone number 301-704-3171.
You can contact Agnes by email atmkivuvani2004@comcast.net
Sarah can accept a position in other areas of United States should such be available.

While Mr. Fiedur may be a little off-base regarding the federal response it is understandable that one would not fully comprehend the workings of the U.S. government...it is a very complicated bureaucracy. However, his intentions are honorable and it is a waste of time for us to try to pin the blame on federal, state or local goverments, or the citizens, especially in this forum at this point in time. We are looking to help just one individual affected by this storm. Let's not focus on the words...instead let's focus on spreading the word. I'm sure the thousands here can come up with something.
