Junior high and high school can be traumatic for many students. Your peers can be cruel. Sometimes they look down on others who are less popular because it makes them feel important! They are struggling to find out who they are, the same as the rest of us, but if they get in with the wrong crowd they just follow along with how their friends think and how they act, thinking they are cool or better than others.

Pick friends who are positive people. Stay away from negative people whenever possible. They will just make you feel worse.

It sounds like you lack self-confidence. With successful experiences over a period of time, your self-confidence will grow and you will feel better about yourself. Whenever you accomplish a goal, even a small one, congratulate yourself!

Congratulations on being selected as the POTW. It is something you can be proud of, especially at your young age!

I had the same problem of being alone in grade school, high school, but for different reasons.  It was really tough I know, Jayson.  Kids and people can be extremely cruel.  I didn't think I would live through all of it, but I did!
