Hello my dear friend, Alain!!
What an amazing tribute! I cannot believe the enormity of the information you have gathered here for us, and even though I must admit that I have not been through more than half of it, I have learned so much already. It is so interesting to see how others came about celebrating and celebrate their mothers.
My mom has been gone for a bit over 3 years now, and not a day goes by that I do not pay tribute to her by wearing a piece of her jewelry or by dusting under one of her music boxes and winding it up to hear the familiar tune that reminds me of an event in our time together. Oh, the memories!
I remember her too when one of the clichés that I promised I would never say comes out of my mouth or when I do something just the way she would have done it, even though i swore I never would. I remember her when I pass someone who is wearing Este Lauder's Youth Dew!! Oh how she loved that scent!
As a mom myself, I only hold out the hope that my sons and grandchildren will find a fond memory of me when I am no longer here. The unconditional part of being a mom means remembering the joys, the pride, the happiness, the laughter, the accomplishments, and if some of the things that aren't so wonderful slip in, then remember all the wonders of it all again!!
Thank you my friend for this wonderful forum and for giving it 150% of yourself and your research and knowledge!! It is just amazing!
God bless,
Judy
