Thanks, Alain
I want to thank my Mom for all the small things,
Keeping our best school artworks and poems/writings in her top drawer forever
Seeing our best qualities even when shown thru being annoying, persistence, fast-thinking, etc.
Being fascinated with us even when other people would say that's weird.
And now last week on Easter Sunday, my Mother just told me she was diagnosed with Alzheimers. Well, she's BEEN DAFFY all her life so we thought it was just a matter of time. I am the 50-50 combo, half like my mom and half like dad, daffy sometimes but also brilliant and with quick temper. So my mom told me about her Alzheimers and she's worried about me because of my traits from her, and I said... "Don't worry, I'll focus my old age on JUST being serious and smart and short-tempered, not goofy or fun like you so maybe i won't get Alzheimers!" LOL!!! She thought that was hilarious!!
That's what I mean by being a Mom, someone you can say that to, and she will laugh even in the face of her own future, understanding me completely in what I mean and how I mean it in the best way and enjoying my delivery of it and not feeling bad that I said it, it's impossible to feel bad while laughing.
