YES, this is one important subject and you hit the nail on the head.  Thank you for the support articles and the link to VOTE.

We need more concerned people like YOU out there swinging the bat. 

All I can say is..... "forever REDNECK country and holding!"   hehehe

I keep thinking positive, but there are many things that make no sense and this is definitely one of them.

   When it comes to gun controls I get a little hot under the collar. It is not guns that need to be controlled. It is criminals with guns that need to be controlled and nothing, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING CAN CONTROL A CRIMINAL LIKE A BIG OLD GUN BARREL POINTING DIRECTLY AT HIS NOSE.

Here is an exerpt from a piece written about gun control. It is titled " Gun Control Really Does Work ". If you read the whole article you will see for whom they work and why.

States which passed concealed carry laws reduced their murder rate by 8.5%, rapes by 5%, aggravated assaults by 7% and robbery by 3%; and, If those states not having concealed carry laws had adopted such laws in 1992, then approximately 1,570 murders, 4,177 rapes, 60,000 aggravated assaults and 12,000 robberies would have been avoided yearly.

Again I will say it: gun control works (for the criminal). Tell me how you feel when you take your family out to eat or just an afternoon at the mall and are forced to sit at a stop light where thugs happen to be hanging around on that particular corner. If you live in a state where the gun laws are hyper-oppressive, and being the model law-abiding citizen (ready-made-victim) you are, odds are great that you are not armed. Knowing your state law prohibits you from practicing self-defense, do these seedy individuals have greater confidence in approaching you? Think about it.

   Well, I am in my glory when I have a cause to fight for. It makes me think I'm doing something important. LOL.

 Speaking of gun laws,,,,,,I really don't think there is any shortage of them. There are over 20,000 of them on the books already. You would think that the politicians would get the message. More regulation is not the answer. It never has been and never will be. It all comes down to common sense,,,,of which the government has very little of.

Utah laws are summarized below.  To see what some of these are in other states you can check the  State Firearms Laws & Ordinances   This is the BATF's latest  listing, and there are probably some new ones added after the BATF published this list.
    Do you think criminals bother to read and obey them all? Most of them? Any of them? What about the other laws- maybe that is why they are called criminals.
    Why do you think they will obey a new gun law?
    How will "one more reasonable compromise" to surrender more of OUR freedom on top of all the what we have already surrendered suddenly make criminals obey laws?
    At least 20 existing laws were broken by the killers at Columbine High School in Colorado.
