Thomas and I do not ever count the votes from people without last names. They can post if they want, but they have never been counted at all. Now if all that's clear, I would like no more complaint posts in here. This is a Nominations/Election thread, we know what we are doing and we've been doing it for 8 weeks, NOT counting ineligible nominators or nominees. This has been running smoothly like clockwork for 8 weeks, no discrepencies in the winners, no complaints from people who have participated. The only complaints we've had are from people who have NOT participated, but have chosen to spend their time typing long complaint posts instead of typing a list of 7 friends. Peoples' choices are crystal clear.

Thanks Kathleen and Thomas!  I must say the prize of winning here is worth it folks.  The 15,000 banner ads have worked very well for me.  It should bring in more participation and support of this forum.

Thanks, Sara. The prize was seldom if ever mentioned in recent years. I'm very surprised some people who were previous winners didn't know about it, considering close friendship with former Awards Team members. Anyone who has ever been POTW before, and you didn't know you won 15,000 banner impressions, click "My Account" at the top right corner, then look at the left column on the next page under "Impressions/Promotions" and see if you still have 15,000 unused banner impressions there. If you DID know you won 15,000 banner impressions and uploaded your banner once and never checked on your stats, they could have rolled down to zero. The banner impressions are something you need to keep an eye on, check your clicks, and if you don't have any clicks within a few days or every 500 impressions, it's a good idea to change your banner or text ad.
