Hi Thomas. I totally agree with you. Maybe that is why I was a cheerleader. LOL, really I was.
I am someone who is "glass half full" as opposed to "glass half empty." We all need confidence. When you know that someone believes in you, it brings out your best.
My mom and grandmother were very encouraging. She taught me to cook when I was little. My grandmother taught me to knit and crochet. They encouraged me to read and do art work.
My mother also encouraged me to attend church at an early age. My little sister and I would go every Wednesday night to our Baptist church to our King's Jewels and King's Daughters get togethers.
On Adland here, when I'm discouraged, I go to the positive forums. Yours, Pauline's, Sara's Joe's, Jill's and Carla's to name a few. The topics are interesting and take you UP.
Here is a song that I remember. It's uplifting, fun and promotes perserverance. LOL, remember Frank Sinatra's HIGH HOPES?
