LOL! Audi Roger! (Won`t sound polite to say AUDI SIR, if I am right) .
In how big trouble I was while was still in diapers!!!
Coming from Croatia to Serbia .... (that time, and almost each 50 years, Serbs and Croats become lunatics, making competition in slaughtering each other) ... I was 16 months old and HOW COULD I UNDERSTAND ANYTHING?
For the word "BEYOND" Croats would say (for example) and write "Y" ... and Serbs without "y" . This is one of biggest differences between Croatian and Serbian dialects, but even a dumb would hear difference. (Chauvinists from both sides would kill me now, because they compete in PURITY OF THEIR LANGUAGES, not dialects ...)
So, poor Luka, born as a very chatty boy, has challenged good or bad luck each day, just opening mouth. Croats also use to speak in diminutives, and being heroic warriors, Serb just hate that.As months passed away, I could figure out IN WHICH BUSH THE TIGER MAY BE, and started controlling my tongue.
OMG!!!!
It was audition for the Kid`s Theatre and Momma took me there (I was 4 years old). Branka didin`t suggest anything, BUT I WAS AWARE AND PRETTY STRESSED TO SPEAK PROPERLY.
Hm ..... HM!!!! I spoke perfectly, BUT WHEN WAS ASKED TO SING ANY SONG,
my dear Sir Roger,
I sung
FAVORIT SONG (almost antheme) OF THE CROATIAN USTAHE !!!!
Momma was dead-feared.
I survived. Got an applause. Played next 2 years at that Theatre.
But never would forget HOW SURPRESSED THINGS WORKS OUT.
Love,
Luka
