I don't know if you knew this Roger but Kim is very good at digesting the will of God, it comes from knowing God, through his word and through the study of His word as it pertains to the life of today situations. I'm very confident she can teach and encourage just as well if not better than I in these practicals. Although it is a daily prayer life we lead it still can go wrong if not careful. Your amongst good friends. Thank you Roger for showing your heart :) God_bless you.

Well thank you Thomas for touching compliment; not a nicer thing can be said to me.  Indeed it is nice to see you around a bit and have opportunity to read your words which come out of teaching heart and with that certain quickening that inspires "Life" in us as God's Word does as it is called "Living"...the Bread of Life, that we need in order to truly "Live" no less than earthly bread.   And yes, Dear Roger is easy to show heart, to share his, and yes, in the Lord we are no strangers, but just as Jesus, the "friend who sticks closer than a brother," so is our heart in God toward all his people, Amen.     love kim

Surrendering ourselves to God is really just agreeing that we need God's control over all that we are & that we are in need of His direction in everything.

We come to the end of "self" & lay it all at the foot of the cross.   All of our worries, anxieties, frustrations & fears, all of our insecurities & our need for controlling circumstances & others.  It's a continual conscious effort  to lay everything down, & it is when we do this that we find our life.  Jesus himself said that "those who seek their life will lose it & those who lose their life will find it."

Most of us keep wanting to take it all back again, but with prayer for His help we can surrender it all, but it's not something we do once & for all.  The fact that we struggle off & on attests to the fact that we are still human, yet we have the divine inside of us.  Our surrendering to Him is a process...just like life is a process.

We find the freedom that Thomas talks about when we continually bring everything to Him.

Thanks for this thoughtful post Thomas.

Cheryl :-)

Hi Thomas,
Thanks for your words. I live my life by God's commands in The Ten Commandments. I live by them and life is good.
