You're right, doctors are not brilliant (a few yrs ago mine told me that arthritis isn't taken seriously until someone is around 50, I had knee surgery when I was 12 so I think that makes me susceptible way before 50!)

Anyway, I posted in Pat's forum, tell Bill to get well, I grew up in PA and there's no place like it for beautiful rolling hills, he needs to get out of the hospital and go out and take pictures of the scenery and all of you and get back to being vibrant!    Hearing loss won't hold him back, he'll just need to put everyone on speaker phone and you can yell at him at home ALL the time,  you might like it!
