Kathy,if I have any inkling of
what an anointed message is(and I think I do)
I would say you have met the requirements
with your message this morning.
" My Dad"
When I think back to my childhood days
I am reminded of my Dad;
Reminded of the love we shared
And all the fun we had
To everyone in our home
My Dad was always kind;
And if you looked for a better man
Well,he'd sure be hard to find
He never refused when we needed his help
He said,"I'll be glad to do what I can;"
Yes,to all the folks in our town
My Dad was quite a man
Dad never failed to be in church
When Sunday morning came;
He told us kids he hoped that
We would always do the same
He always led our family prayers
Each and every night;
He often said he was concerned
That we'd all be raised up right
He shared in all of our heartaches
Our happiness and our joys;
And when we'd all go out together
He just seemed like one of the boys
Dad never looked unhappy
He seemed to always wear a smile;
And when he looked at Mom and the kids
It must have stretched a country mile
Yes,he was something of a hero
This man that I called Dad;
A knight in shining armour
The best friend I ever had
Then one day my Dad took ill
We were told it was his heart;
He said,"Son, I'm going to leave you now.
You and I will have to part."
So now Dad lives with Jesus
He has passed through heaven's door;
But he left me with a memory
That I will cherish forevermore.
