I never could understand why people have to be so hateful and hurtful. I guess they have the advantage of hiding behind a computer screen.

My grandma taught me this little ryhme when I was small.

STICKS AND STONES MAY BREAK MY BONES

BUT WORDS CAN NEVER HARM ME.

Love ya sweetie. If you ignore someone long enough they will go away!

Hi Sandy,

Like my Momma used to say, "You're a Breath of Fresh Air.".  Although I've only known you for a short while now, I have always found your Posts to be entertaining, often quite informative, and always very well thought out.

We are indeed a diverse Community, and thus we will find a multitude of different opinions on any subject that we might choose.  You also know, I'm sure, what they say about Opinions, "Everybody has one, but some just stink worse than others.".  In my experience, I have always found that anyone who must resort to personal attacks, generally doesn't have any valid points of their own to make, and often times, doesn't even have a clear idea of what's being discussed.  Therefore, in order to build themselves up, at least in their own minds, they try to tear down the person who does have a valid point to make.  For a perfect example, you need look no further than our current crop of Politicians, from both Parties.  As I have said to you before, always consider the source, they may never have been taught any better.

In short, never be afraid to say what's on your mind.  The majority of our Friends here at Adland will respect your right to say it, and if they don't agree with you, will join the discussion to offer an alternative opinion.  You may change their mind, and on the other hand, they may change yours.  That's why they call it a discussion, and when it works the way it should, it's absolutely wonderful.

Have a Blessed & Beautiful Day My Friend,

Phil

Hi Phil

I thank you so much for your post.  You along with my other friends have really made my day.

I surely believe I have the best friends here in Adland, and glad now I am here.

The message was very sweet and I again thank you so much for it. I'm almost speechless, twice in two days. And believe me, this doesn't happen too often.

To all my friends

Hi Sandy,

Oh brother, here we go again!  Every so often the Community goes through this 'argumentative' stage and people just stop thinking before they post.

Just a friendly word to everybody:

Always, always remember to sit on your hands - whatever it is that's making your hands itch to type out will wait if it's important enough and will withstand the self-scrutiny you give it.  Remember 'intellect over emotion' and 'principles over personalities'.

There is no reason, ever, to make personal attacks from the relative safety of your computer.  Common courtesy doesn't stop just because you aren't standing face-to-face when you make your opinions known to the whole world.

End of lecture; have a courteous day!
