Hi Valerie,
Glad you stopped back by and happy to hear that that you might be trying the Cow Chip Bingo in the future. It is a whole lot of fun, and it's used as a Fundraiser, so everything except for the prizes goes to a worthy cause. I'm afraid however, that the only donations accepted are from the Cow herself, 'cause wherever she decides to make that donation determines the winner. Click on the pick of Bessie trying to decide to learn a little more about how to play and some of the rules and stuff.
We'll be up at the Hoedown this weekend shooting, and hopefully selling, some Pictures. I'll let you know how it goes.
One place that they do take Donations is at the little Contest over in Beaver, Oklahoma, where they Throw the Cow Chips. Although I've never tried that, it looks like fun as well. For more details, click on the piles of Meadow Muffins below.
Probably the least I say about my experience with 'Shine the better, however I will say that I had you beat by about 7 years. I also had my first Cigarette around the same time, but then again, we could hand roll'em up there on the Farm. Talk about taking your breath away.
As far as the Chickens, I think I was about 12 or 13 when I learned how to kill'em, pluck'em and cook'em. That may be part of the reason that I am mostly a Vegetarian these days. If I can find it, I've got a picture that I'll scan and send to you, of me at about 4 or 5, in my Bib Overalls, standing in the middle of the Chicken Coop, scattering Feed.
Finally, although I've been by the Forum a few times, I haven't made it as often as I would have liked. I haven't even posted my favorites yet. I will be by soon, and I've thoroughly enjoyed what I have seen and heard so far.
Have A Blessed Evening My Friend,
Phil
