You don't give tours do you?  I was just sitting thinking, Phil is so good at explanding about his town, he should be a tour guide one day a week.  What do you think of that one, friend.  You do such a great job.

Hi Stephen,

Always good to see you whenever you stop by to visit.  Yes my Friend, we three have a lot in common, happily serving the Lord and sharing the Good News of our Lord & Savior.  You and I of course, have something else in common.  We are both manipulators of the digits, otherwise known as Accountants. 

When I consider these two paths that our lives have taken, serving our Fellow Man both in the Spiritual as well as the Secular world, I'm reminded of a favorite quote by Orrin Hatch...

"The tax code last year included 2.8 million words. The Holy Bible itself has only about 775,000 words. Obviously, God did not need to issue such copious instructions for living as we currently have for complying with tax laws."

Hello Again Myrna,

Thanks for the Compliments my Friend.  No, I have never thought about being a Tour Guide, however, several years ago I worked part time at one of the local Hotels, and I did get to share a lot of the highlights and places to see in our great little Community with many of our Guests.  That was one of the best jobs I've ever had, not much money, but boy did I have fun.

I have, over the years, thought about writing a Tour Guide for our wonderful State of NC.  There is a little something for everyone here in Beautiful NC.  The Tourism Bureau's slogan is "I Love Calling NC Home!", and I must, since although I have visited most of the States here in the US and many Foreign Countries, I always come back "Home" to NC.  There are so many wonderful attractions to visit, all within what we like to call a "one-tank" trip.  Matter of fact, I will be spending some time next week at one of my favorites...
