I really wonder why the famous actors and singers think their opinions are or will become the opinions of the entire country.  There are only a few hundred famous people, and most of them grew up in regular America.  How quickly they forget the small towns where they came from, their regular parents and grandparents (except for the 2nd generation Hollywoodies, ugh!)  Just because they have an audience and mega-bucks, doesn't mean they can buy the opinions of everyone who helped them become famous.  We can just as quickly stop putting money into their movies, tv shows, magazines, and music albums.

Remember John Kerry, who during the 2004 election said, "Hollywood is the heart and soul of America."  Remember John Kerry, who lost the 2004 election.

Hollywood is definitely NOT the heart and soul of America.  All the hard-working consumers who go to work every day, pay our bills, and try to save up for the weekend to go out to the movies with our kids, are the heart and soul of America.  Famous people gained their fame and fortune from all of US, and what is given can be easily taken away. 

If Sarah Palin were the Democrat VP, they'd be jumping with joy.

If Joe Biden were the Republican VP, they'd be all over McCain's case for choosing someone who has made racial statements on camera...

...about people at Dunkin Donuts or other places needing to have an Indian accent.   Biden said last year that Obama is articulate and clean.  Seriously?  Why isn't there a big media hype about his statements?  Can you imagine if Sarah Palin had said those things?
