I learn so much from you!!  It is amazing.  I do not always agree with you, and there is a lot of what you wrote above that I COULD debate, but choose not to.  What I would like to address is your paragraph to me. 

Yes, many people - more than EVER before got involved in the recent elections.  And I think the reason was a mixed bag.  There was an overwhelming number of new voters stirred to the polls because, the mass media was doing the electing of our president, and they believed the hype and the lies and CHANGE -though it is far from a new concept when it comes to elections - sounded real good to them. 

There were others of us who really saw what was happening, could not understand WHY the media was doing what they were doing, and we couldn't even believe that so many people were actually did  believe the crap they were dishing out. And, just how did they possibly keep missing all of the information you and I were getting about the man we were about to put in the highest chair in our country?????  We wanted our voices heard, and we just weren't loud enough or big enough in numbers to outyell the bad guys - probably because so many of the loudest voices on THEIR side included some of he most highly respected reporters in the country.

I do have to move away from this for the moment - I am spoiling my perfect blood pressure.  I have worked too hard to get it that way.

Joe - I hope you are getting your medical situation in check and that you will be tip-top real soon.  You are in my prayers, and will continue to be.  I love what you do and how you go about doing it.

I'm fine, just need to act my age ( lol ) and not go up those ships gangways like a 20 year old .

Speaking of ships, ever since Obama took office, the seafaring industry has slowed down and is liken to drift wood floating on Lake Ontario; it is hardly moving at all.  I walked inside the K Line vessel Pegasus Highway several weeks ago and what use to be deck after deck of automobiles, is now almost empty.

One can only hope that as the months progress, business on land and sea will get much better.

AIG bailout

Remember when this economic "crisis" hit, and Congress let Bear Sterns go under; mandated a bunch of forced marriages between banks, etc.; 

THEN they bailed out AIG.....

At the time, I thought, "That's strange. What does an insurance company have to do with this crisis?"    

      WELL - Among other things, 

 AIG INSURES THE PENSION TRUST OF THE UNITED STATES CONGRESS!!
