Walking Garbage CanHi Nick,
A lot of this is true.  I say a lot because half way through I fell asleep.
GasOkay, now, where were we?  When I was married to my second wife I was in the Army National Guard.  I went away to my two weeks Summer Camp.  When I got back home it was do this, do that.  What's the matter with you?  I went to my Army National Guard Headquarters to see if I could switch to Regular Army.  I was pushing the limit on age and he also said that I was married with three kids, so they wouldn't do it.  I said, "Why do you think I want to go?? My wife and three kids are worse than my Commander."  There is a lot of truth to this story and at each Holiday that honors the military, you will see the streets lined with veterans with tears in their eyes.  I believe it is still up on my website at  http://michaeljcaron.tripod.com on the homepage.  It is a picture of people sitting on the side of a parade going by.  When the American Flag passed by, and older veteran in a wheelchair as I believe he had only one leg, stood up and saluted the flag.  The other, younger, able bodied men and women sat with their arms folded.
EagleProudFlagTroop Smiley 2It is no longer a crime to burn the American Flag because we have Freedom of Expression.  Burn my flag in my presence and you will see my Freedom of Expression.  GOD BLESS ALL WHO HAVE EVER SERVED TO KEEP OUR COUNTRY FREE!!! Also, God Bless our Allies.

GOD BLESS YOU
MIKE

Hi Nick,

Sounds like a great idea to me.  Maybe we could actually get something done.

As one of the Greatest Generals of modern times, General Douglas MacArthur once said...

MacArthur is often quoted as saying, "In war, there is no substitute for victory" but we must always remember that he also warned that, "The soldier, above all other people, prays for peace, for he must suffer and bear the deepest wounds and scars of war."

Speaking of Wives, let's not forget that fisherman's Wife up in Maine that once said...

Have A Blessed Week,

Phil

P.S. Mike, I know exactly what you mean about these young men who have no respect for our Flag...

Even the ones who think they deserve to be our President.

“There may be trouble all around, but I am calling you to a place of peace. Be still and know that I am God. Come to Me, and I will give you wisdom, strength, and grace for everything you face." Psalm 46:10

Hello Nick,

I'm an Army veteran and an Indiana National Guard Veteran.  I would gladly join up again if they would take me......I"ll be 54 in September.  My health sucks and I'm sure that I'm too old to re-enlist.  BUT I would go to Iraq or Afghanistan in a heart beat......better me than my son who is in the National guard now.......

BUT, I agree with your post......Send the vets that have the experience!!!!

VOTE!!!! POTM!!!
