Hi Shirley,

Thanks for your comments. When we truly understand abundance, then we reach a place of contentment, because we understand, that  everything is ours. I'm still working on that part. But I have gleaned some understand and that understanding is expanding.

Happiness is not depended on possessions. Happiness is our essential nature, we just get it bury with a lot of other considerations sometimes.

Have a great day,

Nick

Hi Steve,

Thanks for dropping by. Glad you enjoyed the photo. As for Shirley, yes, see my comments.

I do think that when we stop trying, and accept, then the riches come.

Nick

Hello Ana Maria,

You are right, that bell probably hasn't every rung, or at least not in a long time> The bell is more a fixture of the garden than serving any real purpose.

My sister will be thrilled to see the response to her photo.

And thanks for that beautiful Graphic for my Mum. I know she is doing well.

When I have a little more detachment from events, I will write the story of our time with my Mum. So many wonderful things happen for my Mum and for the family during that time, that you know the event was blessed from the beginning. If there is such a thing, and this might seem strange, she had a good death, or a better word, transformation.

Here is another in the series. The third photo that jumped out and said something to me. If you have such a photo I would love to see it and perhaps share it here in this forum.  Nick

The Light of Love, Quote and Photo

July 2nd, 2008

The Light of Love
Photo by Pauline DeForest I titled it: The light of Love.

“Our senses are indeed our doors and windows on this world, in every real sense the key to the unlocking of meaning and the wellspring of creativity

I have run a series of photo’s like this now. The photo itself speaks to us. This one took my breath away when I saw it. The way the sunlight streams across the road, the way the trees frame the image of the road and the light. It feels like early morning. The road calls us out to adventure. The sun shines out joy, and hope and promise.

The picture fits so well to a theme I have been talking about, “the journey” .

Take awhile to focus on the photo. As you focus become aware of your breathing. Follow the breath in and then out. Let your shoulders relax, and allow the photo to touch you. Concentrate on what you are feeling, sensing, what emotions are stirred.

When you are finished write about your experience in your journal.

Have a beautiful summer morning,

Nick
