Hello Thomas and Friends

    This little story about Grandma really brought back some fond memories. I can still hear my Grandma Lou talking about the adventures of her life and how she came to this country as a young girl. She came here from Wales on a cattle boat when she was in her teens. I remember how she laughed when she told me about being offered her first job upon entering the U.S. Someone told her that she could get a job holding a torch that helped lead the ships into the harbor. How she laughed when she first saw Lady Liberty and realized that she was much too short for the job.
