Hi Shirley,

I am glad you can grow your own asparagus! It sounds good.

Hi Myrna,

I have tried the asparagus that comes in a can. I found it to be kind of tough. Maybe some of our readers can tell us how they fix it to make it tender. I don't often find fresh asparagus in my area of the midwest.

Hi Gaby,

I didn't even realize that asparagus can be white! I have only seen the green asparagus.  I live in a small town in the midwest, where we don't get a large variety of fresh produce.

Hello Donna,

Yes you can purchase the white asparagus in can or jar, they are not as strong tasting to me.  Back in France my brother has them in his garden, he grows them in sand and they are white. The wild asparagus is very tasty also, we used to go in the woods and pick them, they're about half as big around as a pencil but they are sure good.

God Bless
Gaby
