I am not a doctor and come from the IT field as a well now X network engineer so with that said; I do not think gender matters when dealing with flu shots. Although I have never in my life had one, (something about being injected with a virus sounds wrong) and actually do very well. I think my own system has gained enough force to fight whatever is out there. I do understand that someone that has been on the FS each year and then gets off can be really sick but this just what I have read and ready for the disclaimer " this only my opinion and not part of the medical field nor a doctor or scientist"
