	Hi Amanda, I pray that Daryl has a complete recovery. In the mean time, I hope his compensation will come to be quickly. In this part of the country (USA), we have a problem with people driving and being insured. It is the law to have your vehicle insured, but many do not. Hey, what is the chance they will even get caught? It is slim! What do the courts do about it when they do catch them? A small fine and repeat offenders get their driver's license revoked. Many still drive! Amanda, if this person who hit your son was a responsible person, they would take care of him or provide for his care in one way or another. Where are all the ethical people?!?! Even though I do not know Daryl personally, I am thankful for you and him that he is alive after such an accident. Will be praying for ya'll! Joe -------------------- HUGS heal misery!

	Hi Amanda, I'm very sorry to hear about your son's accident and resulting problems. It must be frustrating for you not to be able to do anything, I can't imagine how you feel. I'll be thinking about you and your son and hoping for a good outcome.

	Hello Pauline, Thank you for your prayers. Your for listening and your comments. I appreciate them very much. I feel a little better when you write in agreement, this driver did not get a very hefty fine in his court hearing, the judge was way too leinent to his driving. I have been wrestling with myself because Daryl's father and I brought our children up to respect the laws of the land and know right from wrong that one does not falsely use the systems for personal gain, put in place by the Government and the citizens. Here I am, agreeing with Daryl, that is what he has to do is take payment from the ACC. It is like a double standard - yet the way the court has fined the driver in favour of Daryl with a such a small amount of $1,000-00 there is no other options available for him to pay for all the medical care he needs. 	Hello Hellen, Thank you for coming by and contributing to this discussion. I am so sorry to read of your mother's accident, and not receive any help financially is extremely unfair. The cost for medical treatment and all that goes along with medical expenses are expensive. Kind regards Amanda
