I love hats ... on other people!  My husband likes me in a hat, but I always feel ridiculous and out of place.  I admire anyone who looks great in a hat!

You are only slightly older than I am.  I'll be 53 in September.

I love your way of thinking! 

Some people say that when we are 50+ in age, we have wide waists and narrow minds.  I don't believe this.  I still have a narrow waist and an open mind.

My waist isn't quite as narrow as it could be, but I do have an open mind too.

I only know of the Flappers through the movies.  They definitely had a style all their own.

I don't think its as easy now days to identify with any particular style.  Not the ordinary folk anyway.  I see "style" on the runways, but wouldn't give 2 cents for most of it.
