Hi!  My name is Rosalind! I've been beading for about a year now. My website is also through Yahoo, but my plan does not include a shopping cart. I may need to move to a site that does.

I love stringing and loomwork, but can't seem to get a handle on the stitches. LOL

My mother is a retired dress designer, who has moved into crochet. Arts run in the family.

Hi Debra,

Thanks for joining the forum.  I'm taking a beading crochet class next Tueday.  I'm excited about it.  I've been reading a lot about precious metal clay from about.com.  They have email messages a person can receive about jewelry making.  It's veryinteresting.  I'm sure they have a topic that you may find interesting.

Hi Rosalind, welcome to the forum.  My site did not come with a shoppoing cart either.  I use Mals-e.  I have used this cart before and really like it.  It's free and easy to set up.  Check it out at http://www.mals-e.com You can use paypal with it or I have used propay with it also.  Propay is another version of a merchant account without all of the monthly fees of a regular merchant account.  You can accept credit cards, you just have to manually enter the credit card numbers.  It's not automatic.  The lowest costing version is $34.95 a year. http://www.propay.com I hope this helps.

Re: PMC (precious metal clay)

I think the clays are awesome and so fun to deal with.

I prefer ArtClay 650 -slow dry- it doesn't dry out as fast as the PMC and regular art clay. It gives me enogh time to work with ideas and not be rushed. I originally got into it because I wanted to create my own awareness ribbon and put emerald swarovski crystals in the center. I must say once I started I was picking leaves from all the neighbors yards to make leaf pendants.

You can get some great tips and instructions at www.pmc-connection.com

as well as a newsletter.

I'm considering an Ebay store as well as a website.

How profitable are your Yahoo sites?  $29.95 is a bit much for me at the moment, without advertising...
