You are so right! Whatever you do, do it well, I always say. And if your craft is writing more power to you!  I've always wanted to try my hand at writing a novel, but it's a lot of work, and right now I don't have time to do research and such.

You are right, with all of the technical things I'm into, crafting is a great escape, and a wonderful pastime. I thoroughly enjoy the work I do, and seeing a finished product is worth every second.

Hello Joanne,

I write mostly poetry.  I also write what I call "Specialisms" for Dialysis patients, Anorexics, Teens and people who suffer with Depression and Addictions.  They are just simple affirmations verses, but if you repeat them to yourself long enough they do make a difference.  The ones I wrote for Dialysis patients and Teens are long enough for a book.

I also enjoy writing motivational notes in hopes of inspiring those who read it.

Hi Joanne,

Your mittens brought back memories of going to my Grandmother's house to be fitted for mittens. She always made mittens for her grandkids. I tried to learn but it never excited me much. But crochet was different.  That was something I really liked and I made numerous items.

I just checked your directory again and I see you don't have any gourd articles yet. I did promise you I would write but, needless to say, it hasn't happened yet. Too much happened I guess and I never got to it. I will try and get something for you this week.
