Been there ... done that, Joanne! 

I had a neighbour once who did the most beautiful crocheting.  She said she would teach me; that anyone could learn.  All I learned was to make a chain a mile long.  She finally gave up on me.  I've tried since, but just don't get it.  Same with knitting ... just don't have the knack for it.  That's why I admire anyone like you who does beautiful work.   

I believe we all have a gift or talent.  Mine just simply isn't crocheting and knitting.  I enjoy writing.  

I believe in doing whatever it is that brings you the greatest joy in your life ... no matter what it is.    If you enjoy it ... do it!

Hello Rose, Jenny SJ, and Venerina, Thank you for featuring Joanne today in the Arts and Crafts Exhibition... I'll admit that knitting and crocheting are not my area of expertise, but I respect everyone who has developed these skills. In our hyper-technical Information Age, we should not overlook the artisans, craftspeople, and trades' workers who give so much of themselves to earn a living...
