Jose Velasquez' art is very appealing. I love the way he uses so many shades of green. It gives his paintings a fresh, almost moist and dreamy look, very peaceful and restful.

Thank you for sharing, Roger.

10_1_136.gifHi Roger,

I will always help you in any way that I can. There are so many varied expressions that show through in an artist's works. It seems such a shame that so many skilled artists never gained recognition during their lifetimes, but rather years after they passed away. These three paintings show a lot of detail and individual style of the artist.

GOD BLESS YOU

Yes, I agree.

There is a certain niave charm yet the compositions are very complex.

This interesting research.

Francisco Amighetti (1907–1998) was a Costa Rican painter. In addition to his paintings, Amighetti also produced morning wood engravings, poetry and works of art criticism. He based his artwork on basic lifestyle in Costa Rica.
