Dearest Alain & friends.....

This forum has been a ownderful opportunity to share & I thank each & every one of you for your posts.

Alas, the work week strikes once again, and unfortunately, (or perhaps fortunately), my posts will be brief & few & far between, as I have many hours of "take home work" ahead of me.

Have a wonderful week, commencing with a marvelous Monday, follwed by terrific Tuesday, then wonderful Wednesday, thrilling Thursday, fantastic Friday, and wonder of wonders.....  another weekend, sensational Saturday & stupendous Sunday!

Love & hugs,

JeanMarie

Hello Alain and Friends.

Just popping back in after reading all your replies to us Alain.  Thank you for taking the time to reply individually, this is
very much appreciated as you have shown 'respect' for
each of us as worth while people.

So refreshing to be a participant in this thread as I have
learned a lot on this topic
.

I agree, the first duty is -if you are looking to change a
person, one needs to change 'me'(ourselves) first. You
cannot expect the other person to change before you do.
Another way of saying: If it is meant to be, then it is up
to ME!

Hello Amanda,

You are all so precious friends to me...

I want to tell you that I really love that one you just wrote...

"If it is meant to be, then it is up to ME!"

Thank you for that insight...

Blessings,
Alain

Alain,

My late father and mother (but especially my father) used proverbs, sayings and slang (kiwi's have lots of them) all
the time that it just because part of mine and family
vocabulary of every day usage.

Then I have picked up various slang and sayings from
other people, places etc.  I use sayings such a lot as I can
drop one into a conversation that just describes the topic/
situation perfectly - yet when I have tried to right them all
down to keep a record, I cannot think of them..They are
just triggered from the moment, sometimes I remember
my dad, a sibling etc saying it and I repeat it.
