This is such a wonderful forum, and absolutely my favorite subject:  THE SPIRIT OF GIVING!

The grandmother story was so touching and heartwarming, it brought a tear to my eye.  If we could all just realize that giving is a message (a HUG) from the heart, that never does it matter what we give.........it is the act of giving that can so change the world.

I love your mention of giving hand written notes.  I almost feel guilty, so that is a good reminder to me.  I used to do this regularly, but it seems the more and more busy I get, the less I do it.  I actually have a stack of cards I bought last week to send to a friend who is hospital bound, and I have not yet sent them.  Shame on me, and I promise it will be done today!  This message is just what I needed.
