Angela, Linda & Shelly, Thanks for the replies. If you use AOL or know someone who does, inform them about this one, if they get caught, it is most likely that their AOL info will be used by the spammers to send out millions of emails & get them shut down. It happened to us once on one of our email addresses & it took a lot of investigating to find out who was using our ISP as a proxy email submitting machine. Apparently our email address sent out something like a quarter of a million emails before it was shut down. Trying to trace back to the culprits, the ISP investigators went through a lot of other email addresses & countries before finding the source. They do not normally do this, but the spam that was being sent out was infected with the iDoom virus, which was a very nasty program that used everyone's email address book to spread the virus on, from their own P.C's, so their friends thought nothing was wrong when they received mail. So beware, & be aware.

Heather. yes, these emails purporting to be from your Internet Service Providers (ISP) are incredible good forgeries of the real ones. You can easily give out your information if you do not know what to look for. The main giveaway is (apart from real emails from ISP's do not ask you to click links) is that they will address you by name, they never start their emails with Dear AOL/Yahoo etc customer, as they know already who they are sending a real email too!
