My name is Max Jacobs. I graduated many moons ago in 1969 with an arts degrees in education (teaching) and a science degree in math and physics. A strange combination? Maybe. However, I think in many ways it was a good reflection of who I am because I have a deep interest in people and a passion for the utility and value of basic details and processes. I also made a start on a masters degree in education but did not finish because my interest in business and entrepreneurship took precedence. In addition to being an employee, my career has been consumed with various business ventures that had varying degrees of success. With this new focus and considering my previous background it was not strange that my employment would lead to human resources management which has been my career concentration for more than 15 years, primarily in the mining industry. In 1995 I started my first internet account and was ready when the world wide web became a reality shortly after. My interests switched to the internet as a marketing tool for business and although my career took me throughout Canada and to amazing adventures in Kyrgyzstan and Mongolia as a human resources professional, I continued to experiment with internet marketing and various online business opportunities. Of course, also during this time period my wife and I raised two children who have given us three beautiful grandchildren. Recently, I have become an unfortunate product (in reality, it is probably a blessing in disguise) of the economic downturn. In addition to giving me more time to spend with my family, it has provided an opportunity to focus my efforts on internet marketing on a full-time basis. Frankly, I am excited about internet marketing because over the years I have learned a lot that I can now apply along with a battery of products and services designed to facilitate online business processes.
