My name is John Bassett. I was born in Northern Ireland back in 1956. I had an easy going childhood being raised from infancy in Looe in Cornwall. Then after leaving school at just 15 years old with a world ahead and no real prospects available living in a small fishing town with a holiday industry with pubs and hotels etc. I had nothing to do but join a bunch of Hippies living by the beach. I there Learned about the seedier side of life and fell in love every other day... Sounds idyllic but it was a bit boring. Then a friend called Neil (Bass guitarist in the local "Peace Wallowers" ((Peeswallowers)) blues band) gave me some worldly wisdom which I eventually took up.
A couple of years later a career move into the Army for four years followed. It was there I learned about self confidence and who I was. I still didn't know what I wanted out of life. Sometimes this re occurs... Do you know the feeling?
After many years of just getting by, my retirement was getting closer so I decided to go it alone and get away from the j.o.b syndrome. I still live in the UK. I have been self employed for about 11 years now, starting out as a gardener come handy man. I then went into marketing after a brief two year spell in insurance as a sales rep. Having moved into Network Marketing or MLM I was fed up with paying for expensive advertising and made my own website so that anybody with even a small business could have access to worldwide advertising for free or a small fee if necessary.
I have spent ages looking for a truly wonderful business you can do from home. I have a goal to travel across the USA. Top to bottom, side to side. Recently I stumbled across a whole heap of opportunities that all want me to "Upgrade" Well it's interesting that in the UK at least, we like to see a valid phone number. You know what? Most of these website style businesses don't have that. My advice. Skip them unless you can contact somebody even if it is by email. So we joined MyVideoTalk. In the UK it's going well and we sponsored for ourselves a distributor in the USA in Chicago Illinois. This was almost by accident. That's how easy it is to do. Well that's enough to read isn't it?
