My Name is Cheryl. I am a mother of 2 teenaged boys living in North Carolina. I have been a member of beachbody for over a year before deciding to become a coach. I absolutely love all of their products in particular Slim in 6,Turbo Jam and Hip Hop Abs and what it has done for me during my transformation.
I started my weight lose journey in February 2007 after a very embarassing camping trip with my oldest son.At that time I was 279lbs and at 5'1' that's alot of weight. My knees hurt and popped, my feet hurt and burned, My back hurt and I could barely walk up a flight of stairs without stopping. Anyway.. on this camping trip I had to walk up two hills and several curves and I thought it would take all night. The sad part was it was only a half a mile and it took me 45 mins because I had to keep stopping to catch my breath. I can't explain how embarrased I was, and being the only "FAT" person made it worse. I vowed then I was going to do something about my weight.
I considered having weight loss surgery, but my insurance company said NO. I even tried to figure out how to come up with the money(about 35K),but my checkbook also said "NO".
I had talked with a friend who was visiting a local weight loss clinic and had great success taking a appetite suppresent, so I made an appointment, and this started my transformation.
I took phentermine for 5 months and lost 40lbs.I know some would say I took the easy way out, but understand I had tried everything weightwatchers, dexatrime, lemonade diet..and well you get the picture. During the time of taking phentermine I educated myself on healthy eating, exercising and decided I didn't need a pill. This is how I found beachbody. I started on Slim in 6 and lost 20lbs, I then added on Turbo Jam, Hip Hop Abs, and recently 10 minute trainer. With all these great workouts, who needs a gym?
All of the support, tips and nutriton advice has helped me to lose an additional 45lbs and realize that it's not just about weight loss, but a complete lifestyle change of eating healthy and staying active, so I decided to become a coach. Not only to continue losing weight, but to reach back and help someone else out who may be struggling with weight loss.So please take a look around the website and contact me if you have questions.
