Hi, my husband and I live in Milwaukee. I have been employed by the VA here in Milwaukee for over 21 years. After completing my Bachelors in Business this year in April I decided to start working on a Master's degree in Psychology. We are presently working on opening a group home for adults with Down's syndrome. My granddaughter Ayla was diagnosed with DS after birth and turned 3 in November. John and I raised her from the time she was 6 months old until October of this year (09). After raising 5 children between us and then Ayla we feel we are uniquely qualified to help adults w/DS become more independent. We are looking forward to the opportunity to give back to our community.
