	We have a career center in our country which provides specialized training for jobs like truck driving, culinary, beatuy shop employees, landscape etc. Students leave their home high school program and study at this career center. In a recent newsletter, I noticed that the person at the top of the class had received 5 scholarships, received: Excellence Award, Career-Technical Honor Society, Numeracy Award, 2nd place State Nuirsery/Landscape Comp and Tech Prep Showcase Superior. His high school? You guessed it, he is a homeschooler.

	Yep .. when you teach them what they need to know and take out the useless subjects it is amazing how much kids can learn and achieve ..home schooled kids are taught to learn and once you give them that tool it last a life time .. Blessings, Geketa
