 Hi Gerri!

Thanks for visiting my forum. I'm a big fan of yours. :)

We haven't had any winter in Sweden this year (exept from in the North of course). It has been more like spring all winter long. All flowers and trees and bushes has already started to grow.

This has been the warmest winter since they started to record them. It's probebly because of the global warming, so It's not so funny. :(

Best wishes

Mandra-thank you these are so beautiful!
Now please don't try to figure out why-but the music in the first one reminds me of Dr Zvagao (bad spelling) and Vikings!
Maybe I was thinking about Arild-I don't know!!!!!

I know-no realtion to anything-I just enjoyed them:)

Hi Joyce!
Thanks for visiting. :)

Sweden is divided into something called "provinces" (landskap) and they all have their own dialect, traditional costumes, costumes and manners.

You can see them on this map:

The first song is some kind of tribute to one of them; Värmland (in the songtitle spelled with old Swedish; Wermland). I have put a lightblue dot on that province (orange field). And a purple where I live (under the word Stockholm).

The pics in the first video wasn't thou all from Värmland, they are from many places in Sweden.

The snowcaped mountains and the reindeers are up in the north of Sweden called Norrbotten (pink field) and those many red small houses located near water is from the arcepilago (probebly outside Stockholm). There's over 100.000 islands out there (and I live on one of them). :)

CONGRATULATIONS FOR THIS FORUM

Well the sounds may not be Swedish but they may me feel home!
VÄRMLAND (Warm land). I like their dialect. They have a special melody and glad sounds in their tongue.
