CALLING HIS OWN TO REST

Would we hold on to one so dear?

When we can see the time is near.

When God would call His own to Him.

Add to His crown another gem.

Against this day we often fight.

But death is precious in His sight.

We cannot see the other side,

So we would choose here, to abide.

But God’s prepared a better place,

When we complete this earthly race.

A home with Him in heaven above,

There we will share eternal love.

So lose your hold and let them go.

God’s peace and love, He’ll help you know.

Someday we’ll see, His plan was best,

When God should call His own to rest.
