"TEENS IN ACTION"
There are so many great kids that do wonderful things in our Communities, but far too often the public never hears about those youths. This week I chose to write about a Group called "K.I.C.K.S."
"K.I.C.K.S.", which stands for "Kids In Care Of Kids", was started by Jaide in 2005. Jaide is now 8 years old, but she was 5 when she first started the non-profit organization, and she has done so much to help others for such a little girl. The very first thing she did was to raise $500 for the victims of the Tsuinami, and she has gone on to raise money to help handicapped kids to play baseball, collected new & used books for a Library, and so much more.
Jaide's and "K.I.C.K.S." most recent project is to help the environment by trying to get people to stop using paper and plastic bags at the grocery store. Yahoo.com gave the organization 900 fabric bags to sell at their local grocers to get the ball rolling towards their goal. If you would like to read more about Jaide and "K.I.C.K.S." please visit their website at http://www.kidsincareofkids.org/
If you would like to support Jaide's campaigns to better her community click HERE or You
can also donate by sending a check payable to: Topeka Community Foundation - Kids in Care of Kids 5431 SW 29th Street, Suite 300 Topeka, Kansas 66614
This is just another great example of what our youth of today are doing to try and make our world a better place.
