	I agree Kathy, these are profound thoughts. I completely agree with you and have been pondering deeply on these very matters. I think as I'm watching the valentines' day destruction that goes on passing as an innocent custom-starts to plant seeds of not being good enough as early as kindergarten! Children are encouraged to make judgements about who deserves to get one and why or why not. This is not good. There was once a time when almost all children were assured by their parents before going to sleep that Jesus loved them usually accompanied by long list of and God bless.... I'm sure it must have been the same around the world, whatever faith the family held. I did not do this with my children-I regret it. Television had begun to shape schedules and it has only progressed. It was so simple but it did wonders for self esteem that was grounded correctly to stay strong no matter what, because God loves you.
