OH, WHAT A TANGLED WEB WE WEAVE..

Oh, what a tangled web we weave when with drugs we proceed...
my appologies to Shakespeare....
While my prose are terrible, my point is a very valid one. People are dying from drug interactions. Countless Americans are on drugs for no other reason then to counter-act the side effects of a different drug. When will we wake up? As soon as the sleeping pills wear off, and the anti-depresants kick in?
Much of the practice of medicine is focused on the disease, and not  on what is causing the disease. The concept of disease is a simple one, there is a dis-ease in the body. There are things going on in the body that are causing the body to be in a state of dis-ease. The body was created to be at ease. When it is not, the body is trying to tell us something.
The morale of the story is  two fold. First, prevent dis-ease by giving the body what everybody needs. proper nutrition, water, exercise, stress management, emotional and spiritual growth. Second, we need to see drugs as a temporary fix, a "band-aid". The strategy is to focus on health. What is the body lacking that it needs in order to be put back in a state of ease?
Our bodies have a wonderful ability to heal and rejuvinate themselves, when we give them what they need to do so .
