V-J DAY
8/14/2005 2:52:54 AM
V- J DAY Today is Victory in Japan Day and for people to give thier blessings to past and present Military Personel. The end of Victory in Europe it is often for gotten that the war continued in the Pacific For months after the second world war. And many brave service men and women continued to loose thier lives during that period. Within the United Kingdom there are Parades of Memorial to those who fought in the Pacific after Victory in Europe. It was also at this time that the Worlds most destructive bomb was dropped on two Japanese cities.(NAGASAKI and HIROSHIMA) Please pray for these soldiers past and present. many blessings to you all, PAUL DAVEY AND KATHY MARTIN

Lets hope none of the crazies out there who now also have the bomb decide to use it against us. The A bomb has probably stopped about two more world wars in the last three decades but now North Korea,Pakistan, India, to name a few also have the bomb, and Iran are trying to get one. Is the old what goes round comes round scenario going to happen ? I pray to God it is not. Will one day man learn to live in peace with man irrespective of their religious beliefs or the colour of their skin ? Perhaps if a threat from another world realy did appear like all the Hollywood films it would unite the human race, who knows? But yes, let us pray for our service men and forgive those responsable for carrying out that so unholy of acts that released the force of the A bomb on those two cities full of men women and children, and let us pray that it never happens again

Hi Kathy, I feel that it is also important to remember not only our service men and women that fought and died, but also the civilian population where the bomb's ware dropped and who are to this day still suffering mentaly and physically. Paul

Hi Kathy, It is important to remember that in any wars, dies inocent people. But is also important to remember what we have done, and the effects of our acts. This article speaks for itself: http://www.bruderhof.com/articles/zabelka-hiroshima.htm?source=DailyDig August the 6th, is one of the darkest days of human history. We should never forget this.
