Happy Thanksgiving to my USA friends and BEST WISHES to my friends who live all over the world.  God Bless my friends, Pat

I've participated in the same family tradition for 30 years.  We always go to my sisters.  After I got married, my husband and I share 2 of our families hospitality. We go to Pam's first and then my husband's sister's house for dessert.

Here is a picture I took last year at sisters. My nephew is married to a woman who was born in RUSSIA.  Their 2 little ones speak Russian and English. Here is Kelly.  She was not too keen on eating her dinner!!

Phil,

Thank you ... that was so beautiful and so true.  The true meaning of Christmas I fear has gotten a little lost in the **commercial** interest.

Well, this certainly did make it sink in that Christmas is just around the corner.
I hope you had a wonderful thanksgiving with your family and friends.

Thank you again
God Bless

Mumsie,

I've been thinking of you too.  Who knows ... maybe next year we'll be a lot closer.   Did you save me a doggy bag? LOL

Love you and hope you had a fantastic day.

Hello Joe,

LOL ... Lucky chickens!!!!

Thank you for the wonderful description.  It's curious ... everything you seem to eat on thanksgiving is what most British people have on Christmas day, with the addition of course of Christmas pudding and mince pies.

In the rest of Europe we don't seem to follow the turkey tradition at Christmas except in the hotels and that's only because they are catering for tourists.

Here in Portugal and when I was in Cyprus, it's actually curious that Christmas Eve is more important than Christmas day.  People have huge buffets and big dinners and stay up practically all night.

So what do you eat at Christmas?  Is there anything typically traditional?

I hope you enjoyed the walks and didn't need to much help. LOL ... or better still I hopr you managed to watch the NFL.

God Bless
