Jayson enlisted in the Air Force, we expected him to be there for 4 years and get the free college education offered to all Air Force enlistees.  But unfortunately they sent him home from bootcamp.  Now he's not enrolled in college so he needs to earn an income somehow, and it is difficult to find a job out there.  So while he's applying at burger places and pizza places and grocery stores and gas stations, I've also been showing him how to do online advertising and web design for at least an hour a day, he's only been home from the AF for 10 days now.

I also have a site like that, if Jayson brings in any sales on the discount site by Paypal, I pay him in full for the smaller list amounts, and half for the amounts over 5,000.   He's in agreement with that.  We're only using my Paypal account right now until I think he's mature enough not to fall for any phishing emails by Paypal scammers.

It is very possible to earn more from home than it is by working at a burger place for several hours a day.  It's very possible to become good at web design without going to school for it, I didn't go to college or web design class at all.  Jayson wanted to be a video game designer, he should have enrolled in school for that.  We were very surprised when he joined the Air Force.  Now that they sent him back, he needs to earn an income.  He doesn't have his drivers license yet so his options are limited.

My ultimate goal is for him to be able to do all this himself within a few months, without my help.  First of all, getting a teenager to pay attention to something is a task in itself, and explaining abstract ideas such as "cookies" or "link stealing" ... I get reactions like I'm telling a fairytale.  Computer skills are one thing, dealing with people is something else, and dealing with the computer itself is another story all together.
