"Today has been hectic, as it is the wife's Birthday today.  So I baked her a red velvet cake 4 tier, made her favorite,  chicken and dumplings with a hefty side of skillet cornbread."

did you really do all that for your wife ..?..wow!!..a man in the kitchen..that's just fantastic.. seriously good!! and well done !.. I hope it all turned out yummy!! ..a 3 tiered birthday cake.. gosh..My husband wouldn't be able to make a single layered one.. even pancakes are a challenge..heee!! but I guess we all have our talents..he does make and bake great pottery though!!.. and after 37 years of making pots..he's a bit of a master...wish he would cook me up some food every now and then though !!women  old married women like me..really do appreciate that !!

and after 35 years of cooking in my own kitchen..I'm pretty tired of my own food..heeee!!!..strange that my family don't seem to be tired of it yet..and I'm not even a great cook..heee!!..but a cheap slave..I AM..that's why they hang onto me....LOL ...
