	And now, dear friends, after this long absence, I would like to post a few of Albrecht Durer masterpieces that I have been able to find during a swift research of the best art websites on the Internet. Let me start with this most famous portrait of his father, painted in 1497, and with the no less famous self-portrait of 1500 (in my next post). As usual, you may click on the images to enlarge them. 	This is the no less famous Durer's self-portait of 1500. It is important to mention that the obvious resemblance it has with Jesus Christ's face and stance is enhanced by the characteristic and deeply esoteric sign he makes with his right hand in the traditional style of the Saviour, as shown in multiple religious paintings. 	Here is Durer's wonderful masterpiece featuring four apostles in two panels (John and Peter in the left one, Mark and Paul in the right one). Finished in 1526, it was the last of his large works. Albrecht Durer - The Four Apostles (oil on lindenwood, 1526)

	Durer was very probably the greatest master in watercolor painting that the world has ever known. The two precious and most famous works shown below well attest to it.
