I am sorry to hear you are having discomfort. Stretching daily is the best thing we can do for our overall health. This promotes flexibilty, good circulation adn an avenue to help the lymphnodes to properly detoxify themselves.

It is also known as the Downward facing dog. The key to this is to breath through the movements and to gently work your way to full pose. Yoga is about feeding oxygen to your muscles and promting felixiblity in your joints as well as your muscles. No need to go hardcore right away. If you feel pain back away a little and gradually work your way along. It really does not take any time at all to master this neat pose.
