Hi Marilyn-

I appreciate your coming by very much!  It is a blessing that he is no longer suffering and that we don't have to watch him suffer..that was difficult.
He was 81 years old and lived a full live. He was dedicated it to his family and to God and the church not necessarily in that order.

Be blessed in all you do my friend,

Len

Len, I hope these words will help you in the the loss of your Dad.  God gave them to me to share with others.

May His Words Comfort You

The Presence of The Lord

A gentle fragrance fills the air
in the early Misty Morn.
And the Presence of The Lord is there.

Pain and sorrow weigh heavily on my heart.
Loss of a loved one so near
and the clouds begin to part.

From the dark and ominous sky
Day is trying to break.
The Presence of the Lord is here
He will not forsake.

A voice within tells me
He feels my sadness.
He knows how much I loved
And this loved one I will miss.

He bids me listen to the singing
of the Mockingbird
He sings a portion of all the
songs he has ever heard.

He tells me I am somewhat
like that songster.
For I, too, speak the words
of my brother and sister.

The air blows a gentle puff
across my face.
I  feel the comfort of His Love.
The Presence of The Lord is in this place.

Hi Sara!

What a great poem!  Thank you so much for sharing it! The words are beautiful and comforting at the same time.  You have a wonderful gift of using the right words. A true word smith.

I really appreciate the kind words from you and everyone who posted here during this difficult time.

God Bless,

Len
