WHY THE BIBLE DOES NOT MENTION THE DATE OF JESUS' BIRTH?
11/2/2007 3:21:11 PM
The Bible is silent on the actual date Jesus was born, in that the Bible says, Today (?) in the town of Bethlehem the town of David, a Savior has been born to you; He is Christ the Lord. (Luke 2:4-11). Why is the Bible silent on the date of Jesus' birth? It may be because Jesus was in existence since the beginning of creation (John 1:2). God said, "Let US (God & Jesus Christ) make man in OUR image, in OUR likeness,...(Genesis 1:26). It is evident that Jesus existed before Abraham, Jesus said, "I tell you the truth," "before Abraham was born, I am!". (John 8:58). Jesus also existed before John. John also admitted that Jesus Christ existed before him. John said...He (Jesus Christ) WAS BEFORE ME." (John 1:15,NIV).
