	Thanks for the love Beryl. yes Leadbelly was an inpiration for Janis , so many others as well. for me it was Hendrix , willie dixon, Albert collins, chuck berry, and my friend who we lost Randy Rhodes of heavy metal fame. others as well.. Thank you for sharing! god_bless you.

	Hi Thomas, What an incredible amount of research on the fantastic Janis Joplin. She was unbelievable as a singer and unfortunately as with so many artists had a very short life. All the best & Shalom my friend, Peter

	Yes she did unfortunetly, a very bad vice got the best of her but she was clean and sobor for one whole year in 1969 when she recorded " Got Them ole cosmic blues again" lp , then she went on vacation somewhere in the bahamas and found a boyfriend! who wasnt looking for any future (pin head! Still today that my favorite recordings of her.
